The MAO inhibitor Caapi can not be combined with medicines such as: blood pressure reducers, antidepressants and beta-blockers.

Certain medications for cough, cold and hay fever that can be obtained without a prescription such as: Otrivin and dextromethorphan-containing agents (Dampo, VapoTab "Vicks", Darolan et al.) Should be avoided.

Medical Contraindications: heart complaints, cerebral haemorrhages, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, severe kidney disease, epilepsy, unstable diabetes mellitus are a contraindication to the use of Ayahuasca / Jurema. Pregnancy and lactation is also a contraindication to the use of Ayahuasca / Jurema.

Mental Contraindications: psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, borderline and predisposition to psychosis.
